Golden Age Sandman by Tim Sale

Tim did this sketch at the 2009 Baltimore Con. I was fortunate to get on his list, which was for 15 minutes sketches of characters he was comfortable doing within that amount of time such as Batman. He paced himself with a timer.

I knew Sandman was unlikely among those characters but decided to roll the dice. He paused for a moment and then kindly agreed to do it. What he was able to do in those 15 minutes is impressive. The art is in my JSA sketchbook gallery.
