Description

This book had two legends doing the art..Kaluta & Heath, a strange and beautiful matchup. I discovered Kaluta & Heath art about the same time..and I remember back in school we all used Kaluta's Shadow as the artmarker to shoot for when we grew up...and while we all loved Kaluta's stuff we all drew the soldiers & tanks in Heath's Sgt. Rock.I met Kaluta by doing the phonebook covers for the revivial of his & Elaine Lee's play "Starstruck". Years later I met Mike again at a comic show and he started to pull out artwork from his portfolio, huge & beautiful drawings..the covers to his Vampierlla run..I was so awestruck by the sight I left the room red with flush.pretty embarrassing!..but it did serve to make me work harder at my drawing..to be a better artist...as always- Kaluta was a standard to shoot for.. and he and Russ are such nice guys, with the best stories to tell....thanks to Brian Peck for letting this one go.
