Description

Done by Rob at Armageddon Auckland 2011.

The concept has a long and rather convoluted backstory that began when Peter David suggested "Death by Chocolate" at a convention some years ago. By which he meant her and a giant chocolate bar.
This sat around for a while until I re-read some Killing Joke and re-watched some Batman TAS with the Joker's origin and hands sinking despairingly into giant vats of stuff (say, Chocolate).
And then this mutated from "giant vats of chocolate" - which would be in a Chocolate factory ... but why have a vat when you can have a River in the most famous Chocolate factory of all?

Rob listened to me tell this terribly rambling near-free-association story, and somehow managed to get the point. And then put together a kick-ass piece!
Death is, of course, reading an issue of Chew. It is one of her favourite books.

Love this sketch. Especially the creepy oompa loompas giving high fives in the background. Awesome idea - thanks for sharing!
