Superman For All Seasons #1, pg 15 by Tim Sale (Sept.1998)

I loved this series. It was the first time I saw Sale's work and the story was just brilliant and elegant. Great read. In the conversation/cage match for Best Superman.

For whatever reason, this page stuck with me a lot. When I thought about specific pages I loved, I actually asked around for this page years ago.

Then one day a dealer I'd asked once long ago got the piece, and voila, it was mine.

I loved the looseness of the art and the detail of the background. So much time period and personality in this page. I love how Clark is sitting, so farm kid. He could be milking a cow with that pose. Just knowing his power and strength back then, and how he carried himself. It's just such great, subtle character development. A personality piece.
