Legion of Superheroes Homage To Uncanny X Men issue 111

Steve Gumm has done it again. He did an amazing Re-Legion of a Wolverine/X-Men cover to showcase Timber Wolf several months ago. I was so impressed that we upped the stakes to a really complicated cover. : X Men 111

He rose to the challenge and hit it out of the ballpark. The amount of work that went into this from layout, to pencils and inks is mind blowing. The detail is staggering. There were even some personal touches , that were inside jokes and my name and initials ended up hidden in this gem.

Chris Ivy and I struggled with a logo for this commission because we didnt want to cover up such great art, so we went with the carnival banner that blends in with Steve's work.

He is a fantastic guy to work with. This is not how he makes his full time living so it took time but he pours his heart and soul into it and I am sure you agree it is well worth the wait.

He has blended the art so that it tells a great story. He channels the Byrne style of that X Men era. The Bouncing Boy image just puts a silly smile on my face everytime I see it.
