DescriptionI have known Max Allan COllins for almost 40 years and have helped him with research on his historical novels - Nate heller etc. (and if you like Ms Tree or Dick tracy you need to pick up his other novels) for over 30 years. This came in on a trade deal yers ago and lookign at it, I realized that the villain killed by Vera Alldid looked like Max during the 1970's. Asking him later I was right - Chet based the character on Max (the budding writer of novels and comics) and the villain Matty Square on MAttMasterson.So we literally have Chet Gould killing off his successor in this Sunday page.
