Description
My favorite ever Tad drawing. I can't find this one in the newspaper archives, but judging from the composition, I believe it's from the mid-1920s. Look at Wikipedia's entry for "Beefsteak Banquet" for an explanation of the scene. Note how Dorgan uses darker, solid blacks to emphasize the main characters. Even by Tad's standards, these are grotesque people.
