Tom Raney - Songbird of the Thunderbolts

You may have noticed I sometimes get a sketch of Songbird of the Thunderbolts. Well, I requested a few Songbirds lately and this is the second, by Tom Raney. Tom announced he was taking commissions, so I snagged a few.

I was curious to see what Tom would do with the character and this blew away my expectations. The costume could easily go wrong with any artist but Tom nails it, especially the metallic accents. The crosshatching for the background to show off the sound wings was a fantastic touch. The red hair (looks like from a regular pen, too!) just caps the commission off perfectly. Love it!
