Harry Tuthill - Bungle Family - 1928 Daily

This strip encapsulates what The Bungle Family is all about. George and Jo Bungle have one of their typical conversations, taking place in their apartment in Sunken Heights. You can see that while the characters are in the same room, during the whole conversation they barely talk to each other. It's more like they're talking at each other, ala the "Vic and Sade" radio program of the time. Tuthill's strip was immensely popular during the 20s and 30s, largely because of strips like this one. 7/13/28.
