Description

This was one of the first sketches I had ever gotten and it took a lot of effort and some sympathy from Mr. Sale. He was appearing at Wizard World Chicago in 2000 and I was heading up with some friends, and with the intention of getting a Tim Sale sketch. I waited in the DC Comics line for him 3 times. Each time I was at the end of the line since the people at the DC booth repeatedly told me that I was not permitted to "hang around the table" waiting for them to announce that Mr. Sale would be signing. Well, after having seen me 3 times, Mr. Sale took pity and offered to draw something for me during one of his panels. The end result is amazing. It was more than I could have hoped for. Not only do I enjoy Superman as a character, but Mr. Sale's work on "A Superman for all Seasons" remains one of the pivotal Superman stories in my opinion. Many thanks go out to Tim Sale.
