DescriptionIt was Friday and Ian was SUPER late for dinner with his wife but was swamped with people all wanting signatures and a sketch, it just wouldn't stop but being the great guy he is he wanted to take care of everyone.I waited about 2 hours and was the last one and when my turn came I just said "Look, I'm a big fan and all but I'm here all weekend and your girl's been waiting, so go." He was being super nice and asking if I was sure about not getting my stuff signed or a sketch after waiting for so long and I just laughed and said "Yeah, I'm sure man. Girls don't like to wait...trust me I know". He was floored and thanked me up and down then asked me to please come back on the sunday and we would set something up. Sunday came and he asked I stick around till after his signing and he'd do me a sketch. So after, we sat there talking but I couldn't see what he was drawing until he was done. An hour or so later, he hands me this beautiful 11x17 piece which made my jaw literally drop. I was NOT expecting this. He could tell how much it meant to me and chuckled saying "Now I better not see this on Ebay." "Never..." A few years later I met him again, showed him this while retelling the story, which he kind of vaguley recalled but did remember the drawing and was very thankful that I did hold onto it and we took a photo. A big, BIG thank you to Ian for being such a great guy and giving me one of the best convention memories I will ever have. Social/Sharing |

I was Lucky enough to meet IAN and His wife Last year in SD at Comic Con. They are incredibly nice people. I told him what a fan and asked him if he would sign some of his art I had collected. He said sure I came back the next day with 20 of his supergirl pages. He smiled and signed them all. I also got a supergirl sketch. One of the nicest guys I ever met. His inker Norm Rapmund is also a great guy. These two guys together are like Lennon and McCartney. They produce amazing art.
