Description

This is Barry Windsor Smith's first attempt to pencil this great panel from X-men 186. You can see that this is actually a pretty complete pencil job including notes to Terry Austin, the inker, on how to ink the rain effects. I'm not sure what happened, but for some reason Barry or someone else must have decided to change up this panel. The way it appears in the comic is slightly different and frankly I like this version better. I'm not sure why they changed it.

Amazing! So fun to see raw but finished BWS pencils on an action panel from a classic book. Really nice
