DescriptionPuella Magi Madoka Magica is a deconstruction and reconstruction of the magical girl genre. The plot follows that an alien critter makes contracts with young girls; in exchange for a single wish, they become magical girls and have to fight against these inhuman abominations called witches.However, the girls are effectively selling their souls. Upon making the wish, their souls are taken out of their bodies and turned into "soul gems" which allow them to turn into magical girls. And they have to keep those gems both pure and perfectly functioning or... it's not pretty. This character appeared in the last episode, as one of five magical girls saved by the main character, Madoka Kaname, though the means through which she saves them I will not reveal. Apparently, this one magical girl is popular with the fans. I'm friends with the artist through DeviantArt. Noele's done a lot of artwork of Lian Harper and her baby brother Thomas Blake Jr., and I'm grateful because it's allowed me to receive a few commissions of Tommy based on her art. Social/Sharing |
