Description
For me, the heart of both stories Cameron Stewart illustrated for Ed Brubaker’s run on the title is Holly Robinson. Holly first appeared in Batman: Year One (one of my all time favorite comics) so it warmed my heart to see her reintroduced in the first issue of Brubaker’s run all those years ago. Once Cameron took over as artist on the title, Holly’s importance in the stories grew. I guess that wouldn’t have anything to do with Cameron drawing the cutest Holly you’ve ever seen, now would it?
I chose two pages from Cameron’s run. One from each story and each one Holly centric.
This page comes from the Relentless storyline and shows Holly wandering around The East End of Gotham City and bumping into the Alleytown gang. I just adore Holly’s jacket on this page!
Funny aside…while scanning this page I realized I unconsciously ripped off the ‘close-up reaction insert panel’ on this page, years after I’ve read this in one of my own comics (in the conclusion of Ooit). I totally forgot about having seen this in Catwoman. But hey…only steal from the best! Haha.
