From my own personal collection and NOT for Sale...

Original published artwork by the amazing artist Sean Phillips. One of my personal favourite artists.....

This piece shows Vatican 'enforcer' / investigator Devlin Waugh in a typical Devlin type pose for November from the published 2000AD Calander......Painted in acrylic, with cut pieces of coloured paper stuck on ( to give the fireworks effect ).... Approx size of artwork itself is 11" by 14".

A Fabulous rendition of Devlin at his 'campest' with the rocket as phallic imagery..... Some discussion about who Devlin was supposed to resemble when originally created..... Sean Phillips is reputed to have imagined a cross between Arnold Schwartzenneger and Terry Thomas ( with gap in teeth ) and writer John Smith ( and co creator with Sean Phillips ) imagined a cross between Charles Bronson and Noel Coward.........Just brilliant !! ............

After speaking to Sean at Thoughtbubble ( Leeds November 2012 ) and asking him, he said that Devlin ended up being an amalgamation of Arnie and a 'Noel Coward' type english gentleman...

Sorry, MOST Definitely NOT FOR SALE.......
