Description

Coward was the first story arc of Criminal and where defined the tone that was going to take the series. With Criminal i think that Brubaker manages to create a very good series of noir genre, discarding any superhero added. In this page appears Leo Patterson ( who has an undeserved reputation for coward ) and Greta ( an ex-drug addict and widow of an old friend of Leo ). In the words of Ed Brubaker:

"Criminal is about crime. About being on a bank and think about how you would steal it if you could. Discusses growing up in the wrong side of the law, and still have a moral code".

And in the words of Sean Phillips:

"Criminal is a title 'umbrella' under which we can publish any criminal story that we want. The stories are about more about the characters and the consequences of their actions than in the crimes committed. Each story arc is conclusive, although there are recurring characters and plot lines that will be developed throughout the series."

Cobarde fue el primer arco argumental de Criminal y donde se definió el tono que iba a tener la serie. Con Criminal creo que Brubaker consigue crear una muy buena serie de género negro, desechando cualquier agregado superheroico. En esta página aparece Leo Patterson, (quién tiene una inmerecida fama de cobarde) y Greta (una ex-drogadicta y viuda de un viejo amigo de Leo). En palabras de Ed Brubaker:

"Criminal trata acerca del crimen. Acerca de estar en un banco y pensar en cómo lo robarías si pudieras. Trata acerca de crecer en el lado equivocado de la ley, y aún así mantener un código moral".

y en palabras de Sean Phillips:

"Criminal es un título 'paraguas' bajo el que podemos publicar cualquier historia criminal que queramos. Las historias tratan más acerca de los personajes y las consecuencias de sus acciones que en los crímenes que cometen. Cada arco argumental es autoconclusivo, aunque hay personajes recurrentes y lineas argumentales que se desarrollarán a lo largo de la serie."

Buenisima, me encanta esta serie y el tono "noir" que le da Sean Phillips es insuperable. Enhorabuena.

Tus tres ultimas adquisiciones me encantan, pero es que Criminal es una de las series con las que más he disfrutado y esta página es 100% Phillips. Enhorabuena!

Muchas gracias a todos, Criminal se esta convirtiendo en una de las mejores series del momento, cada arco argumental mejora al anterior. Y Phillips lo borda!.
