American Vampire #34 (11x17)

If you haven't, check out my entry for the "official" #34 Cover where I talk a bit more about the series and acquisition of the art. I'm sure this isn't news to most people reading this, but sometimes a piece of art resonates with you and I saw this cover before I saw the published piece and it was what spurred my purchase of the pair. Suffice to say, in some ways I like this cover better than the published one, though I agree the other is a better fit given the significance of the issue. They definitely go together, and I knew I had to have them both side-by-side. A beautiful piece by Albuquerque, and in my opinion one of the best covers of the entire series -- published or not.

Hauntingly beautiful work by Rafael. Congratulations on adding this (and the published cover) to your collection! AmVamp is IMHO the best monthly out there.

Thank you Joe - I definitely agree. Snyder is consistently great these days, but Rafael is doing some amazing work on the title. I'll miss it when it's off next year.
