Yes the odd short lived heroes of Sparkler and Tip Top- Sparkman and Triple Terror are really one of the closer points at which the pulp sensibilityof the 1930's meets the early comics in both story and style of art- which is why I think I enjoy them so much- even when published they looked a bit archaic!
