The return of Dakota North to the Marvel Universe was a pleasant surprise in Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark's amazing run on
Daredevil. Brubaker wrote the character perfectly and included a number of great references to Dakota's 1980s origins, including her time as a model showcased with a series of magazine covers hung on her office walls in
Daredevil #108 (June 2008). When I got on Michael Lark's commission list in November 2012, I asked him to recreate the two Vogue covers from that issue along with a sketch of Dakota in her signature outfit with black leather pants and a white tank top. Visit my
