Descriptionno way i could describe how obsessed i was with tarzan as a kid and how much i was in love with joe kubert's dc covers for the tarzan series. because a lot of these books are listed as "kubert redondo studio", it's difficult to figure out who did what, but surely some of what you see here had to have come from kubert's hands. the central triangular panel, with the scream (riffing off the classic munch painting), is the money shot, but there is much great visual storytelling in the page, both in the brutality of the top two thirds, and the cut to a quieter mood world in the bottom third...Social/Sharing |
