Description
Twilight Zone writer and a major 1950's fantasy author Charles Beaumont did a small amount of sci-fi illustration in the 1940's for pulps books and fanzines before he started his writing career.
An incredibly influential and talented writer who is most lt forgotten today- Beaumont is someone whose work I have enjoyed for decades as such I was glad to get this piece recently in a trade deal from Jeff Singh (thanks Jeff)
The peice is signed ET Beaumont and I believe the ET relates to fan artist Emil T Bellingham though who knows who did what on the art. Emils work is a lot cruder than Charles. By the way Beaumont's real name was not Beaumont- it was McNutt! He took the Beaumont pseudonym for the first time when doing art in the 1940's - this dates from 1945 and was successfully owned for years by Forry Ackerman without being damaged! Forry contributed to the zine and most likely helped Andy Anderson crank the mimeo
