NOT FOR SALE...

Just arrived at my home, from Frontier Models UK....A 'cold cast' resin model statue of Slaine........

The Model requires assembly as it comes in 6 separate pieces.... Axe is in 2 pieces, 1 arm to be glued in place, 1 hand to be glued in place, separate base piece, and remainder ( torso & head ) all in 1 piece......This Model comes unpainted and costs around £70 from Frontier Models......They also do a painting service, and this costs another £60 but thought I'd have a go myself...

This Slaine version stands about 12 inches tall ( 1/6 scale ) and weighs around 2 - 3lbs..... ...Assembly is easy, but the painting will be a bit of a challenge !!.....

I've included another additional image showing a little more detail, and also a photo of Paul 'Boxer Dog' Evans' painted version of what it may look like once it's painted..........I've not asked his permission to use this image, and hope he doesn't mind, but it's such an excellent version I've included it here......What a talented guy........and check it out and tell me if you don't think it's just an awesome 'comic book' version of Slaine.....

Sculpture is by Lee Ames and looks a little 'Bisley-esque'......I think Lee Ames used Slaine from The Horned God stories when he did this sculpture.. Hope to start soon.......
