Description
John had many inkers who each brought their own unique stamp to the work. I love what Bob Camp with buscema's pencils. I think His approach really highlighted Buscema's compositional strength and he kept Buscema's high Renaissance figure drawing in the final product, I started picking up conan the barbarian with issue 170 and I'm so happy to finally add an example of john's work to my collection from that period.

Wonderful page and story to go with it!!! Knowing how John felt about most of the inkers Marvel put on his pages, I can't imagine the pressure some of them must have felt. I think this one is great and I particularly like the expression on Conan's face in the 2nd panel. Good luck with your search.

Lol! John could be pretty harsh with his opinions of other artists. Thanks David!

Just looked up Don and I agree. Really cool, thanks for turning me on to another artist I'd never seen before Johan! Much appreciated.

You are very welcome Thomas. Don's most known series were Storm and Trigie, but especially his early work reminds me of this,, enjoy getting to know this fabulous artist !
