Description
This art piece is among my favorite covers in comics history. I have always loved it, even had it as a wallpaper on my computer for a long time. When the chance came to buy it from Alex Ross and his art rep Sal Abinnanti I couldn't let it pass. Now it's a true gem in my collection and I love it. How couldn't I considering (1) it's the cover of Green Lantern 1, (2) featuring one of my favorite characters, (3) painted by one of my favorite artists and (4) with such an iconic pose? Grail piece it is.

This is certainly an awesome and awe inspiring piece of art! Was the previous owner just renting it? I don't understand how it 'sells' then ends up back with the art rep who had sold it four years ago.. regardless, it worked out well for you, Ivan. Congrats.

Hi James. Thanks for your comment. The item stayed in another collector's gallery until he decided to return it to Alex Ross' art rep as they are close friends. I bought it when he made it available again and I couldn't be happier (or more broke! lol) with this purchase. Cheers!

Is this a modern day reproduction ? It looks exactly like the one which has been sitting in Ted Lanting's gallery 7 years ago !?

Hi Da Mao. Thanks for you comment. This is the real deal, the original art for this amazing cover. It was in Ted Lanting's collection until recently when he returned it to Alex Ross' art rep. So now this piece has a brand new home in sunny Brazil. Cheers!

Ted has been selling off the cream of his Green Lantern collection recently. Your acquisition is a typical example of the BRICs taking over the world economy ! Within 24 hours Sal put up the advertisment of this piece in the CAF Classified section, it was gone already ! Congratulations for your swift action and acquisition !
