Zippo

Zippo debuted in 1943 as a back-up feature in the pages of Clue Comics #1. In his secret identity he was private detective Joe Blair, but in his superhero identitly he put on his costume, slapped on some high-speed mechanized wheels and commened to kickin' criminal butt. Yeah, some may say he looks silly, but as I look at such modern day inventions as the segway, I say Zippo was a visionary. Clearly, a man ahead of his time.
