Description

So anyone who knows me, knows that I love Nightcrawler. My collection might not really reflect that but that's because I am suuuper picky when it comes to the Fuzzy Elf. I really like the happy go lucky swashbucklin' Elf. When he was introduced in Ultimate X-Men however, he was darker, grittier. Part of Weapon X. Struggling with his appearence. I liked this Nightcrawler a lot because it showed what could have happened. He's much more insecure and he takes a long time overcoming it. Of course having a crush on Dazzler and her then ending up with Angel probably didn't help.

But now to the cover. I loved Ultimate X-Men. And this is my favorite cover of the entire run Yanick just owns it. Nightcrawler rarely looked better. The hands, the feet, the way the cloth wraps around his arms, what's not to love? The little rats and their cute little feet?! I mean really how can I not love this cover. I was going to pick it up last year but alas no funds. This year for my birthday (literally orded it on my birthday) I just couldn't pass it up. Oh and I also should mention that Serge LaPointe did a really fantastic job on this. The line weights are beautiful!

Kudos to Michel and Yanick for making this transaction suuuuper easy.

The perfect birthday present for you! I couldn't have come up with anything better if I had drawn it myself (not that I know how to draw). Love the rats and all the background detail. Nice clean lines too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!!!!!
