Yup. They had Wolvie kill off Sabertooth as well. They wanted to fulfill every fantasy checklist item so they can retcon it with AOA. Garney carried over that early 90's look of the book with this choice image.

There's a reason AOA was the best X-Men event of the 90s. They went all in on this. Great page.

Such an epic page, you have a real treasure here, huge congrats! Amazing X-Men moments before one of the best era's in X history. Fantastic art to go with this great history.

Perfect scene and Garney captured it wonderfully. The fallout that happened between Rogue and Gambit after this moment was pretty epic as well. Congrats on scoring this!
