David Weiner's NEON MAN

"The sketches were done for me before I had a store(Weins World), and before I was producing television" -: David Weiner - 2001. ##### Now thanks to David, here is......The ORIGIN of "NEON MAN" *** ~ *** Character Designed & Created by David Weiner *** ~ *** As for a history of Neon Man, the character is semi autobiographical. ~ He's a standup comedian who lives in Philadelphia (I was a film student and doing some stand up comedy at the time) and was driving home from doing a set at a venue when he drives past a nuclear plant that explodes. He is also an artist and he carries prisma markers (like the ones Greg "Dark One" Williams uses) in his jeep. ~~~~ He wakes up after the explosion in his apartment. And sees there was a bit of a mishap at a nuclear facility on the TV. He sees an interview with one of the representatives who mentions the facility was about to go when a storm hit and this cloud engulfed the plant and it went off-line. There is footage with a swirly cloud and you can see a jeep and a man inside the cloud. ~~~~ Anyway......he finds out that he survived the explosion and his markers can do certain things, such as animate over reality. Yellow can draw bands, pick up and hold things (such as his jeep, which is elevated a foot over his parking spot), orange draws bungee cords that propel him at high speeds. Blue animates inanimate things, and there's a scene where he rides a bull statue across center city Philadelphia, etc... ~~~~ It's a lot of fun, he has little fashion sense and creates a very loud costume. ##### "I was fortunate enough to purchase these directly from David Weiner via eBay back in 2001 and they are now displayed here with his permission" -: Mark - 2005
