HERMANN : 04 Les tours de Bois Maury : 06 Sigurd
A partir de ce sixième album, Aymar de Bois Maury sera au centre de l'histoire. Il chevauche en compagnie d'un chevalier anglais du coté de la Normandie. Paysages grandioses et déchiquetés par vents et pluies l'accompagnent en ce pays autrefois sous domination Viking et dont les descendants devenus chrétiens gardent une touche des croyances anciennes de leurs ancêtres. L'histoire s'emballe lorsqu'un cheval blanc muni d'un bijou vient semer le trouble dans la communauté. Le frère du seigneur de l'endroit meurt et ses proches ne veulent pas qu'il rejoigne le walhalla. Et lorsque Aymar se lance à la poursuite du chevalier de Courcy qui lui a déplu, le fantastique va envahir l'histoire entre rêve et traditions anciennes , dans une séquence extraordinaire ou le Viking retrouvera son chemin vers le walhalla. Aymar lui se réveillera pour apprendre que le chevalier qu'il poursuivait est mort . Il décide sur le coup de participer à la prochaine croisade vers Jérusalem. Histoire fantastique permettant à l'auteur de nous servir des planches magnifiques ou se côtoient éléments déchainés et rêves fantasmagoriques pour culminer avec l' exceptionnelle séquence de la recherche du bijoux sauveur et synonyme de repos éternel par Aymar et le Viking "mort" Le technique du grattage, sur quasi l'ensemble de l'album confère à celui-ci une aura hors du commun. Top du top avec les planches 1, 5, 6, 7, 12, 15, 18, 19, 24, 25, et toute la séquence, mythique, avec le Viking et Aymar qui dure une quinzaine de pages. Heureux les possesseurs du tirage de tête grand format qui reprend les planches en noir et blanc !
