Sketchbook - The Joker
Most kids grew up loving Batman and his adventures. It can range from all eras and media such as the comics, 40's serials, Adam West's camp version, Superfriends, Burton's films, The Dini/Timm verse, and recently with Chris Nolan movies and the new Batman shows. But one Batman character always stuck with me and continues to fascinate me - and that is The Joker
I guess my love for the character really started with the Diniverse Joker. Mark Hamill brought him to life with such incredible enthusiasm. That characterization not to mention numerous stories such as The Killing Joke and The Man Who Laughs have made me love the character. A shame that his creator passed away recently - he created the perfect villain. To this day it can still send a chill up my spine that Joker will do incredibly monstrous things while smiling and laughing.
So I started a sketchbook dedicated to the clown prince of crime. As you will see Artists like the joker and drawing him brings out their best talents. Likely a villain that will survive just as long as Batman - enjoy my Joker Sketches.
