strange sports stories 1 (partial story - to beat the devil)
penned by frank robbins, drawn by curt swan and inked by dick giordano... strange sports stories issue 1 was one of my all time favorite comics as a kid... and it was all about the cover story - "to beat the devil" bringing together all 3 of my three childhood loves at the time - comic books, the twilight zone and baseball... the story, which is totally ridiculous, involves a baseball game between the devil and a pro baseball team, and how the coach eventually tricks the devil into losing the game due to the devil breaking a rule. as much as i'm super happy to have these pages, I AM DEFINITELY SEEKING THE REST OF THE PAGES OF THIS STORY.
