Joduc (Jean David)
Jean David (1915-1988) était un dessinateur marseillais qui aborda plusieurs domaines : la publicité (présentation de films sous forme de bandes verticales dans les journaux), l'humour, la bande dessinée et même la caricature politique mais il excella dans le dessin fripon ! Entre 1948 et 1951, il illustra régulièrement la couverture du magazine « V » de superbes filles dans des poses lascives et proposa ses histoires à l'intérieur (Les amours de Barbara Smith). Signant à ses débuts « Joduc », Jean David travailla pour « Le Patriote » dès 1949 puis dans le journal « Le Méridional » ou il signa les histoires de Monsieur le Marquis (485 bandes de trois cases) racontant les frasques d'un jeune retraité obsédé par les demoiselles ... Il dessina « Les amours de Barbara Smith » et les dos de couvertures de « V C’est le mal d’amour ». Il dessina également « Les nouveaux mystères de Paris », scénarisé par Claude Dupré, dans « lectures pour tous », dans un style proche de celui de Al Capp’s. Dans les années 60 il travailla comme artiste de comics trip pour l’agence Opera Mundi.
