I've had a fondness for Paul Pelletier's art since I first came across it on Green Lantern back in the mid-90's. His clean style catches the eye, but it's the ease with which he shifts gears that has cemented him as a favorite of mine. Whether it be space fairing adventure like Green Lantern, the carnage and destruction of Hulk, or the comedy of She-Hulk, Paul's storytelling always fits the bill.
But perhaps my favorite Pelletier work of all was from his time working with CrossGen Comics on the sci-fi series Negation. Freed from the constraints of corporately driven characters that have to generate revenues in perpetuity, Paul teamed with Tony Bedard to deliver a rip roaring space yarn where no character was safe. Key characters were just as likely to perish as minor ones, and that made for a satisfying and unpredictable ride until CrossGen sadly went belly up.
