The North American and Australian Gallery
The art in this gallery is confined to American and Australian art. Why Australian you ask? Well because in my opinion Australia more than anywhere else on the planet stove with gusto during those years of the wartime driven American comic ban to reproduce the excitement in their own comics that they previously had when American comics were a plenty (even though they were black and white for the most part like Canada and the UK). To my mind they succeeded, or perhaps even exceeded all expectations producing some of the best super hero artists ever, many of whom would have been able to work in the American comic market with little difficulty. Including one of the first women to work in the comics industry anywhere. Australian art is rarer than rocking horse dropping btu what little I have will be on the site as time passes.
