Bruce Mutard

At TCAF 2013 I met Bruce Mutard. He is a full time comic artist and illustrator who lives in Australia. He was up for the show and it was one of the highlights of the show getting to meet him and to be introduced to his work. I had never heard of him and it turns out most of his work is small press and almost impossible to get outside of Australia. He was there with several books. I had the good fortune to meet him on my first day at the con. We talked a bit and I looked over his books and decided on buying A Mind for Love. I took it home that night and read it and enjoyed it. Both the art and writing were good. Bruce's work is in a style of writing and artistically in keeping with North American underground artists. Knowing I'd likely never get another shot at his comics I bought one of everything he had there. We talked a little about artwork too and eventually a studio commissions. The art and commission arrived last week and I am just catching up on posting the art now. I think you will get a good sense of the talent and the sensibilities of Bruce Mutard from my little collection. It turns out I am the first person to ever inquire and buy art from him.
