Complete story from Two-Fisted Tales # 22. The appendectomy scene on page 5 is of course completely unrealistic, but Jack Davis does a fine job none the less. Story lay-outs by Harvey Kurtzman ( evident throughout ) and the research immaculate as always. The planes seen on the last 2 pages are McDonnell F2H-2 Banshees. McDonnell's Banshee was developed from the Navy's first jet powered fighter aircraft, the FH-1 Phantom. It was the F2H-2 versions of the Banshee that saw the most service in Korea. They were based on aircraft carriers.
