Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream Original Art
In October 2014, Locust Moon published Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, a tribute book to Winsor McCay's masterpiece, Little Nemo in Slumberland. The book collects 147 different artists' take on Little Nemo, and is published in a huge over-sized format. It is pretty spectacular. It won't come as a surprise to anyone that knows me that I purchased a pre-order edition of the book at the first possible moment that it was available (at SPX 2014), and immediately started contacting artists to see if I could purchase original art. Considering that I have been collecting Little Nemo commissions for years, this was like being a kid in a candy store! Here are the pieces I have so far, along with what the published artwork looks like. The art is currently on tour -- it is in Philadelphia at the Locust Moon comic shop (the publishers) until February 2015, and then will move to The Society of Illustrators in New York from early February through mid-March, 2015, then off to the Toonseum in Pittsburgh, PA to coincide with their PIX convention, then to Los Angeles to exhibit at the Century Guild Gallery, before finally wrapping up in January 2016 at the Billy Ireland cartoon art museum at Ohio State.
