Jack Kirby - Captain America Sketch Original Art (1964). Rare Kirby! A Jack Kirby sketch of Captain America, sent to Bill Schelly in late 1964, almost a year after Cap returned in Avengers #4 (March, 1964). It has been published in fan magazines numerous times, the first as the cover of Schelly's own fanzine Super-Heroes Anonymous #2 (April, 1965). In more recent years, it appeared in The Jack Kirby Collector, on the cover of Alter Ego magazine, and the back cover of Schelly's memoir, Sense of Wonder, A Life in Comic Fandom. Image area is approximately 7.5" x 9.75". Slight yellowing, and a very small stain near the right shoulder, it was once (long ago) center folded horizontally. Overall condition is Very Good.
