Ever since Batman: Sword of Azrael came out, JPV/ Azrael was my favorite comic hero second only to Batman. He was a brand new character and did not have hundreds of of appearances on the past or volumes of stories I needed to read. It felt good that I could follow a hero from the very beginning! Then he became Az-Bats, which was still OK but when he "fell" and started his ongoing series I was elated! Owning original art from the series was a dream of mine and I'm slowly building my Azrael collection. Of course my holy grails are the Sword of Azrael run (from the looks of it the owner has a death grip in it).
