Giuseppe Palumbo
Giuseppe Palumbo nasce a Matera il 24 luglio 1964.
Ha cominciato a pubblicare a fumetti nel 1986 sulle pagine di riviste come "Frigidaire" e "Cyborg", sulle cui pagine crea il suo personaggio più noto, Ramarro, il primo supereroe masochista. Nel 1992 entra nello staff di Martin Mystère della Sergio Bonelli Editore e nel 2000 in quello di Diabolik della Astorina; per queste due serie popolari disegna numerose storie speciali, tra cui il remake de Il re del terrore, numero uno della collana Diabolik.
Ha pubblicato in Giappone, Grecia, Spagna e Francia.
Dal 2000 coordina il lavoro dello studio Inventario, Invenzioni per l'editoria Bologna; in questa attività ha convogliato il suo lavoro di illustratore per l'editoria scolastica (Paravia, Zanichelli), copertinista (Mondadori, Einaudi, Feltrinelli), illustratore redazionale ("Pulp", "Ventiquattro", "L'Unità").
Tra le sue pubblicazioni più recenti: Journal d'un fou, Rackham editions; Vorrei cantarti una canzone d'amore..., Kappa Edizioni; L'ultimo treno (su un testo di Massimo Carlotto), BD Edizioni e Atene Minore, Art Core Edizioni; Ginko-Prima di Diabolik, Astorina; Salomè-tomo I, Les Humanoides Associes; Lupin III-Una Revolver per Jigen (nell'antologia dedicata al personaggio di Monkey Punch e curata da Kappa Edizioni), edita da Mondadori; Diario di un pazzo, Comma 22.
È docente di disegno e fumetto in particolare presso la Scuola Internazionale dei Comics di Firenze.
È vincitore di numerosi premi in Italia, tra cui lo "Yellow Kid", il "Bonaventura" e "l'Attilio Micheluzzi" come miglior disegnatore italiano.
