I started reading Uncanny X-Men around the Life Death period by Chris Claremont and Barry Windsor-Smith. It didn't take long before I had every issue dating back to the start of Claremont's run on the series. To me he is still the definitive X writer.
The appeal of the X-Men endures because at it's core it's a series about those of us who feel as outcasts in society and the enduring fight for tolerance, social justice, and freedom from persecution.
The X-family has seen many talented writers and artists over the years. I feel fortunate to have some pieces by some of my favorites. I do plan on adding more as time comes.
