Bechdel, Alison
Alison Bechdel is a brilliant artist/cartoonist who has brought us her self-syndicated strip, Dykes to Watch Out For, as well as her powerful graphic narrative works, "Fun Home" and "Are You My Mother? A Comic Drama". Dykes to Watch Out For ran for 25 years, from 1983 to 2008, has was dubbed “one of the pre-eminent oeuvres in the comics genre, period." by Ms. magazine.
Bechdel's work has appeared in the New Yorker, Slate, McSweeney’s, the New York Times Book Review, and Granta. In 2014 she was named a MacArthur Fellow.
