Roy Krenkel was a familiar fixture at New York conventions in the 1970s. It was always a pleasure to meet and talk with him. Almost all of the Krenkel art I own was purchased directly from Roy. I'll never forget the time we ran into each other in the subway on DeKalb Ave. in Brooklyn - that was the best subway ride I've ever taken! The pieces from THE SOWERS OF THUNDER all came from an appearance Roy made with publisher Don Grant to introduce the book. In the book, some of the pieces were reproduced so small that it does not do them justice. Take a look and see!
