Cloak (Tyrone "Ty" Johnson) and Dagger (Tandy Bowen) were created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Ed Hannigan, and first appeared in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #64 (March 1982).
Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen are Cloak and Dagger, crime-fighting team and Light and Darkness incarnate. These partners once lived on the outskirts of society – as runaway teens they embraced vigilantism after their powers activated through experimental drugs. Their relationship is symbiotic and filled with an unreal amount of ironic symmetry: Cloak’s ability to summon and enter the Darkforce Dimension is counteracted by the psionic light Dagger emits.
