Italian artists - Jacono Carlo
Carlo Jacono (Milano, 17 marzo 1929 – Milano, 7 giugno 2000), iniziò la sua carriera artistica appena terminati gli studi all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Inizialmente avvicinato da uno studio pubblicitario americano, nel 1950 Alberto Tedeschi affidò al ventunenne Jacono le copertine della collana "il Giallo Mondadori", a cui lavorò fino al 1986, producendone più di 3000. Sue sono anche le prime 100 copertine del settimanale di fantascienza Urania inizialmente illustrato anche all'interno. Nel 1960 realizzò le copertine della collana di spionaggio Segretissimo, illustrato fino al 1990. Durante la carriera collaborò anche con Rizzoli Corriere della Sera, Edizioni del Gabbiano, Dupont, Mondadori e realizzò illustrazioni anche per la Domenica del Corriere e L'Europeo.
