Batman Beyond animation staff sketches and comic pages
Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett met with a network executive who proposed a teen Batman series. While initially reluctant, they developed Batman Beyond into the story of young Terry McGinnis becoming the new Batman under the guidance of an elderly Bruce Wayne. I enjoyed the television series, the direct-to-video Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and the comic book series. Darwyn Cooke created the show's opening titles and the villain Inque. Brandon McKinney was a story artist. Shane Glines was a character designer.
The initial Batman Beyond comic book miniseries was written by Hilary Bader with art by Rick Burchett, Joe Staton, and Terry Beatty. The regular art team for the ongoing series was Craig Rousseau and Rob Leigh.
