This is the original art by Lynn Varley used in the comic, "The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller. The original ink art was photographed onto a piece of acetate. Then the original ink art was photographed as a blue line onto board. Lynn Varley then painted the blue line with gouache and other medium. The acetate of the ink art was placed over the blue and was sent to DC for publication. It is not a color guide
