Batman The Animated Series by Gene Gonzales

Earlier this year, The Cranboyz lost one of our own - our friend Carl Chappie. I've known Carl most of my life, we went to the same schools and had siblings the same ages. As we look to 2021 we want to do a collecting tribute to Carl, which was a little tough because his interests in collecting weren't the same as mine. Carl was into Snake Pliskin, Planet of the Apes and Batman. All cool things, but not things I necessarily would buy art of. One thing we DID have a mutual obsession with was "Batman: The Animated Series." I remember him coming home from (I think) a Chicago Comicon where the opening sequence debuted and telling me all about it. Believe me - if there was a first Harley Quinn fan, it was Carl. With that in mind I reached out to Gene Gonzales and he's going to do a different Animated Series character monthly for a little over a year (through his Patreon.) It's mostly by favorite villains, with some of the other regulars at the end. I took the villains I wanted, threw them in a randomizer and sent the list over to Gene. This will get updated quarterly when Gene ships out the new art. I hope everyone enjoys Gene's awesome takes on these characters and, for me, I'll always appreciate this reminder of what the show meant to me and my friend.
