Hulk vs Wolverine Animation Art
Hulk vs. is a double, animated direct to video feature film released on January 27, 2009 which includes Hulk vs. Thor and Hulk vs. Wolverine. In Hulk vs. Wolverine, Logan is sent by the Canadian government to take care of the Hulk. However, they both get captured and must deal with Sabretooth, Deadpool, Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red and a scientist name the Professor who are all part of the Weapon X program. It's loosely based on The Incredible Hulk #181 by Roy Thomas, Len Wein and John Romita Sr. with a touch of Todd Mcfarlane's Incredible Hulk #340.
The film was produced by Madhouse animation based out of Japan who also animated Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, and Afro Samurai, just to name a few. Just like much of the animation after the year 2000, the film was drawn by hand frame by frame in pencil (cel drawings) and then scanned and colored digitally so no hand painted animation cels or backgrounds exist for the film. Most of the character were designed by Jeff Matsuda, a Japanese American animator who was discovered by Rob Liefeld and pencilled issues for Image Comics.
