Despite subscribing to Heavy Metal from the first issue, I managed to sleep on Corben's (scarce) originals until his recent passing reminded me what a unique talent he was. It's not "Den," but these mid-to-late career examples show how he could perfectly capture the mood of others' creations or even a licensed property, while still imposing his own vision and style.
